Home Office Reveal and Tips to Design Your Dream Space with Amazon Home!

The one room I was most excited to design in our new house was my home office. When I got pregnant with Izzy my home office turned into her nursery and I have been counting down the days to have a space to call my own when I go to work. My first step was designing the room and of course ordering the furniture. Plan ahead! I know it can seem overwhelming at first to design a space but I recommend making a mood board and spend time browsing for inspiration. Amazon Home has curated storefronts for product and style inspiration which is so helpful. After browsing around, I decided to go with a California casual style for my office and was able to browse pieces that all tie in with that theme. I also love that Amazon Home has a View in Room feature that lets customers visualize products in their space by using their smartphone camera. To use View in Room, just click the camera icon on the Amazon mobile app home screen or click “View in Room” from a product page on the mobile app. It’s super easy!
2. Pick the big pieces first! Decide on your key furniture pieces first and then select everything else around it. For example, I knew I wanted this wood desk and Rivet desk chair. Once I had that down it was easier to select the other furniture and decor in the room to compliment those pieces.
3. Make it personal! Adding personal touches to your office will make it a place you enjoy being in everyday. I decided to make this wall art of my family by buying this 9 set frame from Amazon Home. It is such a standout in the room and was so easy to put together!
4. Make it functional! Although aesthetic is super important, make sure you add solutions that make your life easier. Amazon Home has such a large array of organizational and office products. For example a calendar white board is amazing to keep track of day-to-day scheduling and I keep a pen and note pad handy around the office so I can always make notes if I need to! Also, I got the eero, which is amazing, as it helps to extend the wifi, makes it faster and ensures I have reliable wifi in here.
