RECIPE: My Delicious 4-Ingredient Breakfast Smoothie

Confession: I used to be intimidated to make smoothies! I couldn’t get the consistency of the smoothie right and for some reason it never tasted as good as going to buy one at my favorite local smoothie spot. I decided it was time to learn to make the perfect smoothie that I could drink everyday that is nutritious, delicious and easy to make!

First off - I learned one of the reasons my smoothies weren’t smooth or tasting that great was because I wasn’t using a good blender. I did a lot of research and found the Vitamix E320 is such a versatile and smart investment for your kitchen. You can utilize it for so many recipes, creates the perfect consistency and isn’t not bulky. Ours fits so beautifully in our small apartment kitchen. If you are looking for a new blender - I highly suggest this one!

Here is what you will need for the smoothie (serves 1):

  1. 1 Cup of Almond Milk - I love to use Orgain Organic Protein Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. It is Dairy Free, Soy Free, Gluten Free, and has 10G of protein! I buy it in a 6 pack so I don’t run out!

  2. 1 Cup of Frozen Strawberries - always use frozen fruit with your smoothies!

  3. 1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter - The only peanut butter I will use is Smart Balance Natural Creamy Peanut Butter . It has the perfect texture, has 1000mg of Omega-3’s per serving, no hydrogenated oils, and no trans fats! It tastes amazing!!

  4. Half Scoop of Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Chocolate Protein - I can’t say enough good things about this protein powder. It supports healthy joints, skin, muscles, and is low sugar and low carb. If you are looking for a new protein powder make sure to learn more about this one - it’s one of my favorites!

Once everything is in your blender, time to blend!! I blend for about 1 minute to get the texture more smooth and creamy. Pour it into your favorite glass and of course add a metal straw! Not only are they good for the environment but they keep your smoothie cold while you drink it.

I hope you love this smoothie as much as I do! It’s filling, healthy, easy to digest and a great start to the day!
